6th week of chemo coming up....i hate this....the side effects give me a cut tongue and mouth sores...i'm not sure what else yet. I know that it makes me tired. I know that it ruins my appitite. But the ONE good thing that comes out of it is being with my mom.

Hang in there! I know it can't be easy! And I think you have the right attitude by seeing the good things about it instead of the bad.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
Hi Sweetheart,
ReplyDeleteI met your Mom when she spoke at the NF Ontario meeting and bought 2 copies of her book. She gave my 13 year old son Tim, a NF bracelet which he has not removed since that meeting. He has been newly diagnosed with NF after a MRI disclosed a tumor behind each eye. He may need chemo in the future, we are not sure yet. If it's ok, I will share your blog with him. Chemo does suck but eventually you will have your last treatment and the sores go away, even if it seems like a long time right now. Thank you for sharing your experiences in this blog. You are helping so many other kids with NF just like my son. He knows he isn't alone . Keep smiling Bailey. You are beautiful.
Hi Bailey! My name is Rachel and I am the assistant coach at the University of Denver for the Women's lacrosse team. We just found out that you will be an honorary Denver Lacrosse team member and we are so excited! A lot of the girls are going to be introducing themselves to you over the next couple of days and we cannot wait to meet you. I have spoken with your mom a little through email and will continue to be in touch with you all over the summer! Your mom has my email information if you ever want to get in touch with me. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Hang in there, you are such a strong person!
